This workbook contains sales and profit data sorted by market segment and country.

Preparing Data

Data was loaded into Power BI and transformed using Power Query. Minimal cleaning and transformation required from this dataset. The following were observed and necessary actions were taken to clean them up.

• No error values and no null values detected
• No duplicates detected
• ‘Units sold’ column data typed changed from decimals to whole number
• ‘Month name’ column renamed to ‘Month’

Key Questions

The following questions and points were considered when creating a dashboard. This will be used as a guide to develop a high level dashboard.

• What products brought the most money in?
• Which country has the most sales, are these the same popular products?
• Which market segment is most profitable?
• Dashboard needs to be able to drill down by country, products and market segment.
• Dashboard needs to show a score card for Total sales, total cost and number of products sold.
